Who is this training for?
This course is ideal for IT administrators, identity administrators, and security and compliance professionals responsible for governing and securing AI agents in Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Agent 365, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Purview.
Training objectives
- Discover, register, and govern AI agents using the Microsoft Agent 365 Admin Center.
- Manage the agent lifecycle: publish, configure, block or unblock, reassign ownership, and decommission.
- Govern agent access using Microsoft Entra access packages and Conditional Access for workload identities.
- Tag and segment agents using custom security attributes and Agent 365 security templates.
- Publish sensitivity labels and DLP policies that protect data in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent 365 interactions.
- Use Purview Audit, Agent 365 Analytics, and alerts to monitor and respond to agent activity.
Summary
This half-day course gives participants a focused, hands-on tour of how to govern and secure AI agents in Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Agent 365, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Purview. Participants start with agent discovery and lifecycle in the Agent 365 Admin Center, then move into identity and access controls for agents as workload identities, followed by information protection and data loss prevention for agent and Copilot interactions, and finishing with monitoring, audit, and alerting. By the end of the course, participants will be able to discover and govern AI agents across their tenant, secure agent identity and access using Microsoft Entra controls, apply sensitivity labels and DLP policies that extend Zero Trust data protection to Copilot and agents, and use Purview Audit and Agent 365 Analytics to monitor and investigate agent activity.
Course outline
Learning Path 1: Explore Microsoft Agent 365
- Module 1: Get started with Microsoft Agent 365
- Module 2: Monitor and manage agents with Microsoft Agent 365
- Module 3: Govern agents using Microsoft Agent 365
Approach and methodology
Practical and structured approach combining focused theory with guided hands‑on labs. Participants progressively secure and govern their AI agent workforce across Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra through real‑world, scenario‑based exercises that promote immediate application of learning.
They learn how to discover, register, and manage AI agents; enforce governance through access packages, Conditional Access, sensitivity labels, and DLP policies; and monitor agent activity using Purview Audit, Agent 365 Analytics, and alerting capabilities. The course emphasizes operational governance, lifecycle management, and security controls that ensure responsible and compliant use of AI agents in the enterprise.
Led by a Microsoft‑certified trainer (MCT), the course encourages interactivity and the development of directly transferable skills that help participants confidently secure, monitor, and govern AI agents within Microsoft 365 environments.
